This article analyzes the tactics of the arbitrage MEV bot scam and the fund transfer patterns of the scammers. Cos, the founder of SlowMist, has warned users to be cautious of such scams, and recently the number of users affected by these scams has increased. Scammers attract attention by claiming to use ChatGPT, asserting that the code for the arbitrage bot was generated by ChatGPT. Users are instructed to operate through a MetaMask wallet and a fake Remix link, ultimately transferring funds to the scammers' wallets. On-chain tracking and queries through the anti-money laundering platform MistTrack reveal that the scammers' address has profited approximately 30 ETH, with over a hundred victims. The scammers employ a long-term fraudulent strategy characterized by a wide net and accumulating small profits. The SlowMist security team advises users not to click on unknown links or run unverified code, and recommends using tools like ChatGPT to check if the code contains malicious behavior.
